Overview
Telegraf is an open source, plugin driven server agent from InfluxData for collecting and reporting metrics, events and logs. Hundreds of input plugins gather data from systems and services and dozens of output plugins ship it to monitoring and time series destinations.
Why the cloudimg image
The cloudimg image is hardened and fully patched with Telegraf running as a service, a working sample pipeline and the built in Prometheus client endpoint enabled on loopback. A sample file output on a dedicated resizable data disk persists the metric stream, and enabling further plugins is a simple TOML edit, with 24/7 cloudimg support included.
