Overview

Open Integration Engine is an open source interoperability engine that receives, filters, transforms and routes messages between clinical and business systems. You build channels that move data across formats such as HL7 v2, FHIR, DICOM, X12, XML and JSON, with JavaScript transformers and connectors for HTTP, TCP, files, databases and message queues.

Why the cloudimg image

cloudimg ships Open Integration Engine preconfigured on a hardened, fully patched Ubuntu 24.04 base, behind a TLS edge that is generated for your VM. A unique administrator password is generated on first boot so no shared login exists anywhere in the image, the embedded database and keystore live on a dedicated data volume, a built in self test proves the engine processes a message end to end, and every image comes with a paired deployment guide and 24/7 support.

Common uses

  • HL7 and FHIR message routing
  • Clinical system integration
  • Healthcare data transformation
