Overview

OpenList is a self hosted file list and file management server, the community maintained successor to AList. It presents local disk, object storage, WebDAV and many cloud drive backends through a single web UI and a WebDAV and REST interface, with per path access control.

Why the cloudimg image

cloudimg delivers OpenList hardened and fully patched on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, fronted by nginx and preconfigured so the server answers on first boot. A unique administrator password is generated on first boot with no default login, the complete AGPL source is shipped on disk, and 24/7 support is included.

Common uses

  • Unified file browser over many backends
  • Self hosted WebDAV file sharing
  • Team file and media library
