Overview
SeedDMS is a mature, web based open source Document Management System. Organise files into a browsable folder tree with full version history, control who can see and edit each folder or document with per object access control lists, run documents through review and approval workflows, tag them with categories and attributes, and find them again with full text search. It also exposes a WebDAV endpoint and a REST API.
It suits businesses, engineering and quality teams, and any organisation that needs a self hosted, access controlled document repository they fully control, with a clean web interface and no per seat SaaS fees.
Why the cloudimg image
cloudimg delivers SeedDMS hardened, fully patched and preconfigured so the sign in page is working the moment it boots. The well known default administrator login is never shipped: a unique administrator account and a unique database password are generated on first boot, the schema is already imported and the install wizard is already complete and locked. Document content is stored in a dedicated directory kept separate from both the web root and the application code, and every deployment is paired with a step by step deploy guide and backed by 24/7 support. cloudimg is not affiliated with the SeedDMS project.
