Overview

Websurfx is an open source metasearch engine, written in Rust, that aggregates results from multiple upstream search services without tracking users or profiling their queries. It gives individuals and teams a fast, private, self hosted search front end.

Why the cloudimg image

cloudimg ships Websurfx preconfigured on a hardened, fully patched base with an on box result cache, fronted by TLS. A unique administrative password and a per VM TLS certificate are generated on first boot with no default login, backed by 24/7 support.

Common uses

  • Private web search
  • Aggregated metasearch
  • Self hosted search front end
