Overview
Apache APISIX is a high performance API gateway offering dynamic routing, authentication, rate limiting and observability through a rich plugin ecosystem. It manages and secures traffic to microservices and APIs at the edge.
Why the cloudimg image
cloudimg provides APISIX fully patched on Ubuntu 24.04, preconfigured so the gateway and dashboard are ready on first boot. Administrative access uses a unique credential generated on first boot with no default login, and the image is supported 24/7.
