Overview
CMS Made Simple (CMSMS) is a mature content management system for building and maintaining websites. Editors work in an admin console to manage a tree of pages, assign templates and stylesheets through the Design Manager, and extend the site from a large module ecosystem, while the front end serves the published site to visitors. It runs on the classic LAMP stack, storing all content in a MySQL compatible database.
It suits agencies, small businesses and organisations that want a stable, self hosted CMS with clean separation between content and design: brochure and marketing sites, small business websites, and multi page content sites maintained by a small editorial team.
Why the cloudimg image
Standing up CMS Made Simple normally means installing the LAMP stack, running the web based installation assistant by hand and then locking it away. cloudimg ships CMS Made Simple 2.2.24 with its bundled Smarty template engine patched to 4.5.8, no web installer and no shared database: each VM's first boot creates its own database, site salt, login cookie key and administrator password, then loads the default sample site so the front end renders a real site the first time you browse to it. The site is served over HTTPS from first boot, uploads never run as code or as pages, the admin login is rate limited and the database is reachable only through a local socket. Your content and uploaded media sit on a dedicated data disk, a written deploy guide walks you through launch and first sign in, and every image is backed by 24/7 support.
