DMPRoadmap, the open source platform behind DMPonline and DMPTool for creating, sharing and managing Data Management Plans against funder templates.
DMPRoadmap is the open source Ruby on Rails platform that powers DMPonline and DMPTool, used by universities and research organisations worldwide to author and manage Data Management Plans. Researchers work through funder and institutional templates to produce structured, guidance driven plans, share them with collaborators and administrators, export them, and keep them current across a project's life. Administrators manage organisations, templates, guidance and users from the web interface, and a preloaded catalogue of funder templates, question formats, languages and regions means the platform is ready to plan against from first launch. Several users share one instance, each with their own account, backed by a bundled PostgreSQL database.
cloudimg builds DMPRoadmap from source at the pinned upstream stable release, so the version never drifts under you: the Rails application and its bundled PostgreSQL database run behind a single reverse proxy on one VM, with the app, Devise and database secrets plus the initial super admin password all generated uniquely on first boot. The upstream default demo accounts are removed from the image, PostgreSQL and the application bind to loopback only, and a dedicated step by step deploy guide plus 24/7 support get you from launch to a working planning instance.
