Overview

FHEM is a Perl based home and building automation server with a browser dashboard (FHEMWEB) for controlling devices, sensors and rules. It speaks a wide range of smart home protocols and lets you build automations from timers, events and logic, without writing application code.

Why the cloudimg image

This image binds FHEMWEB to loopback and puts an authenticated nginx front door in front of it, with a unique admin password minted on first boot so no two deployments share a credential. It boots with a populated demo configuration, ships with a paired step by step deploy guide, and is backed by 24/7 support.

Common uses

  • Smart home and building automation
  • Sensor logging and event driven rules
  • Central controller for smart home protocols
