Live Helper Chat, the open source live chat and helpdesk platform, giving your website an operator staffed chat widget with a per instance operator credential.
Live Helper Chat is an open source live chat and helpdesk platform that adds a real time chat widget to your website and a full operator console for the people who answer it. Visitors start a conversation from an embeddable widget, and your team handles chats from a browser based agent panel with canned responses, departments and transfers, chat history and visitor details, file sharing, and offline messages that become a follow up when nobody is online. A REST API, webhooks and a chat bot layer let you connect your own automation or a third party assistant, and everything is stored in a database on the instance itself so your customer conversations stay under your control.
It suits support teams, sales and pre sales chat, and any site that wants to talk to its visitors in real time without handing those conversations to a third party service.
cloudimg delivers Live Helper Chat fully installed on a bundled database behind an nginx reverse proxy, so a working chat platform answers the moment the instance boots. The image is secure by default and carries no usable login: Live Helper Chat ships no default account, and on the first boot of every instance a one shot service generates a random operator password unique to that instance and writes it to a file only the root user can read. The bundled database listens only on loopback so it is never exposed to the network, the base is fully patched with unattended security upgrades enabled, and every deployment is paired with a step by step deploy guide and backed by 24/7 cloudimg support.
