Overview

MRBS, the Meeting Room Booking System, is a mature open source web application for booking meeting rooms and other shared resources. It provides a calendar driven booking interface, per user accounts, and an administration area for managing areas, rooms and users, so people can see what is free and reserve it without email chains or spreadsheets.

This image runs MRBS on a complete web and database stack, assembled and ready rather than left for you to wire together. It suits any team that needs a straightforward, self hosted way to schedule shared spaces.

Why the cloudimg image

The cloudimg image installs MRBS on a hardened stack with the database, application and administrator credentials generated uniquely for your instance on first boot and stored in a root only file, so nothing ships with a known password. The booking schema is loaded and the first administrator is created for you rather than left as an open bootstrap. The deployment guide covers finishing setup, adding rooms and areas, pointing your domain and enabling HTTPS. 24/7 support is included.

Common uses

  • Booking meeting rooms and shared spaces across an office or campus
  • Scheduling shared resources such as equipment, desks or vehicles
  • A self hosted reservation calendar you run in your own cloud account
