cloudimg packages paraview server, the headless back end of paraview, so engineers connect a desktop client to a cloud render server that sits next to their data.
ParaView Server, pvserver, is the headless data analysis and visualisation server that a ParaView desktop client connects to for remote and parallel rendering. Engineers place it next to large CFD, FEA and climate result sets so the heavy rendering happens server side, next to the data, while only a lightweight client runs on their own workstation.
cloudimg delivers pvserver hardened and fully patched, secured to loopback only behind a host firewall so it is reached over an SSH tunnel rather than an exposed port, and shipped with a ready to render sample dataset so a connected client draws real content on first boot. It runs as a non root service gated on a first boot bootstrap check, and 24/7 support is included.
