Raven, a self hosted team messaging app with channels, direct messages and threads for private team chat.
Raven is an open source, self hosted team messaging application built on the Frappe framework, a private alternative to hosted team chat that you fully control. It gives your organisation workspaces and public, private and open channels, direct messages, threaded conversations, reactions and mentions, file and image sharing, pinned messages and link previews, plus an AI bot layer for building assistants inside channels. Everything runs from one web interface so a team can move its day to day communication onto infrastructure it owns.
cloudimg ships Raven hardened, fully patched and preconfigured so the messaging server is ready to use, with the full frappe bench, MariaDB and Redis stack already built and wired for production behind nginx and gunicorn, including the realtime socket process Raven needs for live messaging. A unique Administrator password, site database password and encryption key are generated on first boot and written to a root only file, so there is no default login and no two instances share a secret. The database and cache are bound to loopback and never published to a network port. Every deployment ships with a paired deploy guide and 24/7 cloudimg support.
