Overview

Spliit is an open source expense sharing application for tracking shared costs and splitting bills. You create a group, add participants and expenses, and Spliit works out who owes what and the simplest set of reimbursements to settle up. Groups are reached through a private share link rather than user accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for.

Why the cloudimg image

cloudimg ships Spliit fully patched on a hardened Ubuntu base with a local PostgreSQL database, serving on first boot. The database password is generated uniquely per instance on first boot with no default credential baked into the image, and every deployment is paired with a step by step guide and backed by 24/7 support.

Common uses

  • Splitting household and rent bills
  • Tracking trip and group expenses
  • Settling shared costs between friends
