Waltz is the FINOS open source Enterprise Architecture tool for visualising and defining an organisation's application and technology landscape. It records the applications you run, the org units that own them, the data flows between systems, and the measurables and assessments that describe capability, cost and risk, then lets teams explore that picture, attest to it and report on it. Architects, application owners and change teams use it as one authoritative, queryable model of the estate instead of scattered spreadsheets and diagrams.

cloudimg ships Waltz as a complete appliance rather than parts to assemble: the web application, its PostgreSQL database, the loaded schema and a populated sample landscape are all installed, migrated and running behind nginx within a minute or two of first boot, so you sign in to a working, populated instance. Security is designed in around a tool built to sit behind a trusted gateway: the application port is kept off the public interface and an nginx front door requires a password, and no credential of any kind is baked into the image. On first boot, before the site serves, every instance mints its own database password and its own administrator password, and the well known default login is verified dead before the credentials are written to a root only file on the machine, so no two machines share a secret and there is no default login to guess. The base is fully patched with unattended security updates enabled, and every image comes with a step by step deploy guide tested against the exact build and 24/7 cloudimg support.
