Znuny, the maintained open source help desk and IT service management platform, preconfigured with Apache mod_perl and MariaDB.
Znuny is the actively maintained free and open source web based ticketing system for customer service, help desk and IT service management, and the community successor to OTRS. It turns inbound email and web requests into tickets, routes them into queues, assigns them to agents and teams, enforces SLAs and escalations, and lets your team reply with templates while customers track their own requests through a self service portal, all from a full agent interface with a background daemon handling email, escalations and generic agent jobs.
It suits customer service teams, IT help desks and service desk teams that want an ITSM grade ticketing system they run and own rather than a paid external service, from a small team to a busy multi queue operation.
The cloudimg image installs Znuny 7.3 as a Perl application under Apache with mod_perl and a bundled local MariaDB, with the web installer disabled so you land directly on the agent sign in page. Nothing sensitive ships: a unique database password and administrator password are generated on the first boot of every instance and written to a root only file, replacing the well known upstream root@localhost default, and the shipped image carries every credential rotated to a discarded random value. The MariaDB database, where Znuny stores tickets, articles and attachments, lives on a dedicated data disk separate from the operating system disk, and every deployment is fully patched at build time with a paired deploy guide and 24/7 cloudimg support.
