Icecast + Liquidsoap Internet Radio Station

Overview

Icecast and Liquidsoap combine into a complete internet radio station. Liquidsoap is a flexible audio stream generator that builds a broadcast from playlists, live inputs and scheduled sources and pushes it as a continuous stream to Icecast, the streaming media server that relays that stream to many simultaneous listeners over plain HTTP. Together they let anyone run their own online radio station, whether a music channel, a talk or community station, a scheduled programme or a relay of a live event, all served from infrastructure they control instead of a hosted broadcasting service.

Out of the box the station broadcasts a licence clean generated reference tone, so the status page shows a live stream immediately, and you replace that demo source with your own playlist or live input whenever you are ready.
