CheckCle, the self hosted platform for uptime, SSL, server and service monitoring, with a unique login generated on first boot.
CheckCle is an open source, self hosted uptime and infrastructure monitoring platform. It watches endpoint uptime, SSL certificate expiry, servers and services from a clean realtime web dashboard, with incident tracking, alerting and public status pages, so teams get a single pane of glass over availability without stitching together several tools.
cloudimg ships CheckCle hardened and fully patched, running as a container behind an nginx reverse proxy with the dashboard live on first boot. A unique administrator password is generated on first boot with no default login left exposed, the database and monitoring history sit on a dedicated resizable volume, and a paired deployment guide plus 24/7 support back the image.

Overview
CheckCle is a self-hosted, open source uptime and infrastructure monitoring platform delivered as a pre-hardened AMI by cloudimg. Launch an EC2 instance and have a private monitoring dashboard operational in minutes - no manual Docker installation, no nginx configuration, no database wiring. Focus on monitoring your systems, not building the monitoring stack.
Who Is This For?
This product is ideal for solo operators, small DevOps and SRE teams, MSPs, and startups who need a single pane of glass for uptime, SSL certificate, server, and service health without standing up a heavyweight observability platform. Whether you are watching a handful of endpoints or a fleet of servers and services, CheckCle scales from a single site to a full estate.
What You Get That Self-Deploy Does Not
Unlike launching raw open source CheckCle on your own EC2 instance, this AMI eliminates the manual steps that slow teams down and introduce security risk:
Application Stack
CheckCle runs as a single Docker container bundling a PocketBase backend (embedded SQLite datastore, REST and realtime API, admin dashboard), the CheckCle web frontend, and a monitoring worker. The container is fronted by nginx as a reverse proxy. The current release is CheckCle 1.6.

Security Posture
This build addresses common AMI security gaps:
Example Use Case
A growing SaaS team launches this image, signs in to the dashboard, and adds HTTP, ping, TCP, and DNS checks for their public endpoints plus SSL certificate expiry monitors for their domains. They configure alerting and a public status page so customers see real-time availability and the on-call engineer is notified the moment a check fails - all without deploying Prometheus, Grafana, and a separate status-page service.
Getting Started
1. Launch the AMI on your chosen EC2 instance type
2. Retrieve the generated admin password from the root-only file
3. Sign in to the CheckCle dashboard via your instance's public IP
4. Add your first monitor - uptime, SSL, server, ping, TCP, DNS, or scheduled task
5. Configure alerting channels and publish a status page
The pre-configured nginx reverse proxy means your dashboard is reachable immediately and ready for TLS termination when you attach your own domain.
